Since buying his first VW campervan for about £5,500 he has expanded his fleet to 4 and has increased the number of hires a year to over a 100 from just 15.  He expects to reach 125 hires this year and says: We are seeing a huge increase in people staying at home for their holidays and many people coming to us for their second or third camper van holiday.

Ruby is in fact a 1971 Type 2 Bay Window camper van.  She is a deep red under white and has been called Ruby by her previous owners.  Ruby is over 39 years old, making her tax exempt.  Ruby is a traditional air-cooled Type 2 Bay Window campervan and is right-hand drive.  Ruby is an early Bay tin-top camper van. She seats 4 and sleeps 3.

Comfy Campers offers 4 beautiful restored campervans for hire. By midsummer, their latest campervan will be ready to hire. Dennis is the newest addition to the family.

1. Lilly is a 1973 Type 2 Volkswagen Westfalia campervan. Lilly is over 37 years old, making her tax exempt. She is sage green under white and has been called Lilly by her previous owners. Lilly is a traditional air-cooled Type 2 VW Westfalia campervan and is a right-hard drive. The campervan is equipped with a ‘pop-up’ roof which is raised during camping. Lilly seats and sleeps five. She has two double beds, one is the Rock n Roll bed and the other is the ‘pop-top’ roof. There is also a hammock that fits across the front cab seats. This is suitable for one child only.
2. Sunny is 1974 classic VW Type 2 Bay window camper van, lovingly restored for your comfort and pleasure, to ensure happy memories and photo opportunities for your holiday. She is primrose yellow under white – with her bright colouring you feel like she has brought the sunshine too! The camper is equipped with a ‘pop-up’ roof which is raised during camping. She seats & sleeps four. Sunny is right hand drive and is powered by a two litre naturally aspirated air cooled engine. She enjoys barbecues on the beach and nights under the stars!
3. Betty Blue is a 1983 VW Type 25 campervan. Betty Blue has grown up in the Cotswolds and is always up for an adventure. The VW campervan is sky blue under white – a gentle beauty, there’s nothing ugly about our Betty Blue. She is right hand drive and is powered by a two litre naturally aspirated water cooled boxer engine. Betty Blue has a fixed high top roof and seats and sleeps
4. Dennis is a 1976 Devon Type 2 camper van. He is sky blue under white after its complete respray, engine rebuild, new interior and much more.  He is a tradional air-cooled Type 2 VW Camper Van and is right-hand drive.  Dennis is equipped with a ‘pop-up’ roof which is raised during camping.  He seats & sleeps five.
